The CEU is established as an interdisciplinary space aimed at promoting research, education, culture, memory, and international cooperation, connecting institutions, professionals, and communities from Latin America with Ukraine and Eastern Europe.

An institutional, open platform under construction
The Centre for Ukrainian Studies is an academic and cultural initiative aimed at developing Ukrainian and Eastern European studies in Latin America.
The project aims to build a regional network of researchers, educators, professionals, institutions, and collaborators interested in creating spaces for exchange, intellectual production, cultural dissemination, and international cooperation.
The Centre for Ukrainian Studies is currently in a phase of institutional development, working on building partnerships, programmes and projects for the 2026–2027 period.

The Centre for Ukrainian Studies aims to establish an interdisciplinary network of collaborators, advisors, and institutions from Latin America interested in participating in the development of an academic and cultural platform dedicated to Ukraine and Eastern Europe.

The development of Centre for Ukrainian Studies requires construction interdisciplinary and regional capacity to integrate different perspectives, experiences, and professional capabilities. The creation of a academic space A cultural centre dedicated to Ukraine and Eastern Europe in Latin America cannot be sustained solely from a historical or political perspective; it needs to articulate education, research, communication, culture, international relations, and content production.
For that reason, we aim to form a network of collaborators, Advisers e institutions who can contribute knowledge, experience, organisational capacity and strategic vision for the development of long-term projects.
The participation of secondary and university lecturers it will be fundamental to build bridges with the education system, promote new training opportunities and create spaces for academic and cultural exchange. Likewise, researchers, advanced students and social science specialists will be able to contribute to the development of content, research lines, seminars and publications linked to the history, culture, memory and contemporary processes of Ukraine and Eastern Europe.
The collaboration of political scientists, sociologists and international relations specialists This will enable a broader regional and international analysis, incorporating comparative perspectives and strengthening dialogue between Latin America and Ukraine from an interdisciplinary and pluralistic viewpoint.
Furthermore, we consider the participation of especially important members of foreign ministries, consular corps, and professionals linked to the diplomatic and institutional sphere, as the project seeks to promote spaces for co-operation, collaboration and the building of long-term international ties.
The areas of communication, translation, graphic design, audiovisual production and journalism They will also play a central role in the institutional construction of this Centre for Studies. The development of educational resources, cultural materials, publications, interviews, and digital content requires creative and technical capacities that allow these topics to be brought closer to new audiences in an accessible, rigorous, and contemporary manner.
